Cameron Hinke, a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was inspired to become a stylist when he was in high school, working as a hair model for Matrix. The excitement backstage beckoned, the energy of the stylists onstage inspired, and a stylist was born. Cameron has been a stylist for almost 10 years, and has worked as an educator for Matrix, an experience he credits as "one of the loveliest of his career so far. Cameron also, at the age of 19, managed a salon only 9 months out of beauty school.

Bumble & Bumble Product of Choice:
Cameron's favorite Bumble and Bumble product is Surf Spray because it "works great on short or fine hair to give it ooomph!"Cameron's favorite trick of the trade is "round brushing the hair over-directed for height, and blasting it with the cold button on the dryer to lock in the the shape.

Styling Tip:
“For a smooth blow dry, use a boar bristle round brush (Ibiza-my favorite), high heat, and some tension while smoothing out the hair. Then use the cold shot button on your blow dryer to lock in the style.”

Cameron came to San Francisco for it's welcoming, diverse community, and loves the energy of this small city, even though it is so expensive!When not sculpting specialty cuts, bobs, and working his magic with the blow dryer, Cameron can be found enjoying good theater, yummy mexican food, the ocean, a Hangar One Martini (or two), or cuddling with his two kitties at home.
